The Brazilian PTO published today, Jun, 21st, a set of regulations related to patent applications. The form of presenting the listing of biological sequences is updated, as well as new internal examination procedures for INPI examiners are presented.
Attention Point: Biological Sequences: As of Jul 1st, 2022, the presentation of a listing of biological sequences must be carried out within the new standard (ST.26), in .xml format, thus retiring the old listing in .txt. The new format is more suitable for incorporation into databases and search tools and is structured to better understand the sequence actually revealed. Learn more at:
